Community Involvement: Pack for a PurposePack for a Purpose

Guests and staff at The Landings St. Lucia can participate in one of our community involvement projects through Pack for a Purpose by donating supplies directly to a local charity, Grow Well.

The Grow Well volunteer based charity was established 15 years ago in the Town of Gros Islet, when it emerged that many of the social problems in the area were attributed to an increasing number of ‘youth at risk’ due to the inadequate social support services.

Items that Grow Well can benefit from In keeping with Pack for Purpose guidelines:

• Small gifts and tokens for prizes for competitions (key rings, small diaries, costume jewellery sets, small make-up sets, black hair bows, other similar trinkets). 
  
• Stationery, pencils, pens, pencil cases, erasers, crayons, markers, books, stickers, puzzle books, trivia books, story books, kids movie DVD’s, other age appropriate developmental activities (ages 5 – 16 yrs).

Please note that The Landings is located in the same town/district and within 6 minutes vehicle drive from the Grow Well charity. The Landings will make the necessary arrangements to have the items delivered to Grow Well. Guests can drop them off at the front desk of the Resort, after or during check-in.  We can also make arrangements to take the guests over to the Center if they would like to deliver their items in person.
